"A fatal error occured" When running tomodachi life

Issue:
I’m trying to run Tomodachi Life when it just shows a black screen with the text “A fatal error occured.”

System Information

  • Operating System: Windows 10 pro
  • CPU: Intel i9 9700k
  • GPU: Geforce gtx 1060 6gb
  • Citra Version (found in title bar): Citra Nightly 1678
  • Game: Tomodachi Life

Unfortunately you reopened Citra so the log got cleared (though it would be moved to citra_log.txt.old.txt instead).

The log you uploaded to Drive is only 5.7KB.

so should i try reposting with the old log?

Upload the one that is bigger. If both are just 5KB then redo the steps to get a new log where you encounter the fatal error.

I changed the link to the old one, but its 51mb so i cant just add the file

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • You have cheats enabled. This might cause weird behaviour or crashes. Please disable them and retest if your game is experiencing bugs or crashes.

Disable cheats, restart Citra (otherwise they remain active) and then try your game again.
