AC new leaf starts but does go beyond loading screen

Issue:
My ROM luckily starts but it does not go beyond the loading yellow train screen before the game starts. Anybody have any idea how I could get it to start? I was able to run the US version without any incident a couple of days ago, the version that I’m having issues with is the japanese version (I want to play the game in mandarin so I need to be able to run the japanese version to patch it).

I’m not entirely sure which log I should upload but I’ve been doing repetitive attempts at trying to boot the game so both logs should have information.

No game was booted in your log. If you are experiencing a crash then do not open citra again until after you posted the log as it gets purged when you reopen citra.

Citra doesn’t work on Monterey. If you wish to use Citra on your Mac, please be using Big Sur or below.
