ACNL/Pokemon - Help with modding Citra

Hello!
I finally got Citra up and running and have been enjoying playing ACNL and Pokemon Ultra Moon with it, but i’m not very good with the whole modding thing. I put Homebrew on there, nothing happens when I boot it though. I want to get PKHex and Luma3ds working, but I don’t know how to. I’d love some help, and, if possible, simplify it as much as you can. It’s not that I don’t understand the whole complex explanation, it’s just easier to retain and understand when it’s more simplified. You don’t have to, but I’d love if you did. Thanks for the help! : )

yes, i know there’s a segment explaining how to mod games on the Citra page, but I just couldn’t get it to work.

Will the methods used for modding Citra be similar for modding games with Dolphin or Cemu?

I’m not sure about PKHex, but if you want Luma3DS for Plugin loader, it’s not going to work, and most of the other features of Luma3DS come with Citra, I’m not sure if this helps you at all.
