ACNL save data corrupted when I import to my 3DS

Save File gets corrupted
When I’m trying to import my ACNL citra saves onto my New 2 DS XL, the game tells me that the save file is corrupted and has to reset/reformat the save data and let’s me start from the beginning again. I’ve tried many ways but I just cant seem to get it to work. I really want to continue the progress I made on Citra on my 2 DS XL. Can someone please help?

The ACNL region on my Citra USA and the region on my 2 DS XL it’s USA/EU Region Free

  • Citra Version (found in title bar): Canary 1733
  • Game: Animal Crossing New Leaf: Welcome Amiibo
