I don’t see anything particularly alarming in your log file. Please try your game using a portable Citra version:
Go to Download Citra - Citra and select Manual download. Then under Nightly Build, click on your operating system’s icon to the right of the latest build available to download the build.
Extract it (7zip can be extracted using Winrar or 7zip) (.tar.gz can be extracted natively on MacOS) and put it where ever you wish. Inside the extracted mingw folder, create a folder called user. This Citra should now store all of its config, save files and such inside of this user folder)
Check to make sure that this user folder is in the same folder that contains citra-qt(.exe)
Now run the citra-qt executable found inside of the mingw folder and run your game.

If you’re still experiencing the same issue on the portable Citra version, please upload another log file.

It worked thanks! Now Ill be able to play this while waiting for metroid dread!
Is there a way to transfer my save states from the other version of the emulator to this one so that I don’t lose my progress?

Nevermind, I Figured it out. I just copied my states folder into the new version of Citra, have a good day!

So this is quite weird but after shutting down my pc for the night and booting it up again this morning, the version of Citra you recommended now crashes like the old one. I can hear the game audio but the screen is black and Citra is not responding. I reinstalled Citra through the .rar file I still had on my pc and the newly installed one works. However, I bet that if I restart my pc this freshly installed version will also break. This isn’t that much of an issue since I can just transfer my save state folder over but it is a bit inconvenient to have to reinstall Citra every day. I thought I would report it to you nonetheless. Here is the log file from the Citra I installed yesterday

Go to Emulation>Configuration>Graphics>Advanced Tab and disable the Disk Shader Cache. Try seeing if that allows you to launch the Citra version that stopped working.

Sadly enough that didnt work either.

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • CPU JIT should be enabled for the best performance. Please enable this option.
  • Please enable the Vsync option if you are experiencing screen tearing.
