Animal Crossing New Leaf Hangs When Searching Town

Issue:
My citra hangs when I try to search for town in Animal Crossing. I’ve had one successful visit on another town from a certain server but suddenly the game crashes and when I try to search for town, that’s when the game crashes.

In order for us to provide better support, we need to see the log generated by Citra. This guide will walk you through how you can obtain the log file: How to Upload the Log File.

I was not able to upload the log file. So, I uploaded it to Mega.

Hi, can you upload your save file? Right click on the game Citra then Open Save Data Location then zip the file(s) and upload to like Google Drive and link it here.

Provide steps to reproduce the issue so I can test it.

You have a lot of memory read errors and I can’t see you are using any cheat codes(which can cause it) so that usually means the rom is corrupted

Though I can see this line:
removed

I’ve deleted the 00086400 fille. Now, my saved game is now deleted. I don’t think this is the solution.

Wait did you delete it in the 00040000 folder? Because 00040000 contains saves while 0004000e contains updates.

It should still be in Recycle Bin if you made this mistake(right click and restore it), maybe you were in the save folder(which I first mentioned about) but then read my other part and accidentally deleted it.

Sorry, looks like I did an opsie. It appears that message only means the update is missing.

No worries. I just made a new game. The game is now working.

I have the same problem what should i do?

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

There’s a bunch of unmapped read spam in your log file. Which usually means Citra encountered a corrupted file or bad cheat codes. Try redumping your ROM. Please refer to our Game Dumping Guides:

Dumping Game Cartridges
Dumping Installed Titles

Make sure your GM9 is updated to the latest version available and that you have enough free storage space available on your SD-Card to perform the dump.
