Hello, I wanted to know if there is a way to exchange pokemon on the same PC without having another PC or console nearby, only with the same game, let’s say an example: Get into multiplayer with two accounts
Everything you need to know:
Yes, you can. Set up a portable Citra version using these steps:
Go to Download Citra - Citra and select Manual download
. Then under Nightly Build, click on your operating system’s icon to the right of the latest build available to download the build.
Extract it (.7z can be extracted using Winrar or 7zip) (.tar.gz can be extracted natively on MacOS) and put it where ever you wish. Inside the extracted mingw
folder, create a folder called user
. This Citra should now store all of its config, save files and such inside of this user
folder.
Check to make sure that this user
folder is in the same folder that contains citra-qt(.exe)
Now run the citra-qt executable found inside of the mingw
folder.
You can now copy your save files over to this version to make sure that both Citra versions have the same data to work with:
Start up your regular Citra version and go to File>Open Citra Folder
. Then copy the sdmc
folder found here and paste it inside of the user
folder of your portable Citra build.
Now launch both your normal Citra build and your portable Citra build, launch your games (they should have the same save files now) and trade between these two using the in-game local wireless features. Keep in mind that both Citra builds need to be connected to the same multiplayer room for this to function.
Thank you friend, you did me a great favor, have a great time
