Bad performance on MH4U

Consistent 20-22 fps no matter which settings i change and only emulates at around 70/100% speed, making it slow, laggy and unplayable. I have the cheats enable for the 30fps lock and disabling 3d render but it doesn’t seem to affect anything.

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • Due to AMD’s poorly optimized OpenGL driver, you may experience slowdowns.
  • Please enable the Vsync option if you are experiencing screen tearing.
  • The CPU Clock percentage is not 100%. You may experience unexpected game speed.
  • LLE Audio is designed for debugging purposes. Using this option will slow down your game. Try changing to HLE audio.
  • You have cheats enabled. This might cause weird behaviour or crashes. Please disable them and retest if your game is experiencing bugs or crashes.

Set audio back to HLE (fast). LLE is slow for even like i9-10850K / Ryzen 9 5900X. Since you have Radeon, see if turning off hardware shader helps. If not, you could try Linux (e.g Ubuntu) in order to get better OpenGL drivers for your card.

However, you have an ancient CPU by this point. Q9650 is over 13 years old now so you are due for an upgrade. Especially if you want to play MH4U in its native 60 fps.
