Black screen when I play pokemon x

Issue:
The intro works but it shows the black screen when I pick the character and play the game but I can hear the sound. I’m guessing this happens because of the update that I had today but I don’t know how to fix it.

I am having the same problem with ALL the pokemon games - Pokemon X, Pokemon Y, Pokemon OR and Pokemon AS

This driver is out of date. To update, download win64_25.20.100.6373.zip from Legacy Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 10
Mirror download: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/28289/a08/win64_25.20.100.6373.zip

Then follow this guide to install it: https://www.howtogeek.com/343287/how-to-fix-the-driver-being-installed-is-not-validated-for-this-computer-on-intel-computers/

You should now be able to install the latest driver available directly:
Download and install igfx_win_101.1191.exe from Intel® Graphics – Windows* DCH Drivers
Mirror download: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/691496/igfx_win_101.1191.exe

You should now be up-to-date. If Citra still exhibits the same issue, please upload a log file.

My computer says my current driver is the latest version.

Your computer is wrong. Long story short, your current driver is incorrectly telling your PC it’s the most recent driver available. The steps I gave you (and the guide I linked) help manually uninstall and then reinstall the driver that’s saying wrong things so that the latest driver can be installed without issues.

It worked! Thank you so much

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • You are running out of date drivers for your GPU. You need to install the most recent driver for your graphics card from NVIDIA’s website. Official Drivers | NVIDIA
  • The CPU Clock percentage is not 100%. You may experience unexpected game speed.

Set your CPU Clock Speed slider back to 100% in Emulation>Configuration>System. As the warning under this option informs you, messing with this slider can cause a lot of issues, so don’t touch it unless you know what you’re doing. Your log file also shows that you’re encountering unmapped reads, but I currently don’t know if this is being caused by the extremely high clock speed or not. So please test whether the issue occurs when the clock speed is set back to 100%. If it does, upload another log file.

Havin the same issue, after I select a character, the speed down bellow seem to go down to 0%/0% and its just black screen but I can hear the game up

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • You are running out of date drivers for your GPU. You need to install the most recent driver for your graphics card from Intel’s website. Support for Intel® Graphics
  • Please enable the Vsync option if you are experiencing screen tearing.
  • You have cheats enabled. This might cause weird behaviour or crashes. Please disable them and retest if your game is experiencing bugs or crashes.

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • You are running out of date drivers for your GPU. You need to install the most recent driver for your graphics card from Intel’s website. Support for Intel® Graphics

Make sure Windows 10 is updated, you should be on 21H2. You can check what you have currently by opening winver (just do a simple Windows search for it near the Start button).

After you have confirmed you have a more up to date Windows version, you should be able to install the latest drivers from here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/products/98910/graphics/intel-hd-graphics-family/intel-hd-graphics-610.html#drivers-software
direct link: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/741527/gfx_win_101.3413_101.2111.exe

says driver is locked to manufacturor’s default or whatever and can only be installed through website? Anyway around this?

Ah in that case you need to manually install 6373 first in order to bypass that.

Can you take a screenshot btw of the error so we know what it looks like?

Download: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/28289/a08/win64_25.20.100.6373.zip

then follow this guide to install it: https://www.howtogeek.com/343287/how-to-fix-the-driver-being-installed-is-not-validated-for-this-computer-on-intel-computers/

Then you should be able to run the previous installer.
