Please try out a portable build to rule out any issues with your current Citra installation:
Go to Download Citra - Citra and select Manual download
. Then under Nightly Build, click on your operating system’s icon to the right of the latest build available to download the build.
Extract it (.7z can be extracted using Winrar or 7zip) and put it where ever you wish. Inside the extracted mingw
folder, create a folder called user
. This Citra should now store all of its config, save files and such inside of this user
folder.
Check to make sure that this user
folder is in the same folder that contains citra-qt(.exe)
Now run the citra-qt executable found inside of the mingw
folder. Try your game and see if the issue remains. If it does, please upload a log file using this portable build.
it did work the game opened and didnt lag but it didnt had my save file in it
That is normal. You can move your save file over by starting up your regular installer Citra version, then going to File>Open Citra Folder
and copy the sdmc
folder found here. Paste this folder in your portable version’s user
folder and overwrite when prompted. The portable build should now have your original save files.
so i did what you sayed i moved the folder and now i can see the the black screen came over with the save file
Hmmm. Then there is either something wrong with your save data, or something else in the sdmc folder. We can check this by getting rid of only the save file and seeing if the problem remains.
Start up the portable Citra build and right click on your game in Citra’s game list (you may need to add a game directory for your game first for it to show up here), then select Open Save Data Location
.
Go up one folder in the file path and delete both the 0000001 folder and the metadata file found here.
Now start your game again and see if the black screen remains. If it does, then we know the save data isn’t at fault, so we can just back up the save data and delete the sdmc folder.
strange after i deleted the 0000001 folder and the metadata file it just became the same select language screen
Which is the correct behavior. This means that your save data was most likely corrupted.
even though that means i wont be able to play it again thanks for your hard work
