Blackscreen when playing Rocket Slime 3

Issue:
When trying to play Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime 3, the game screen goes black immediately after leaving the start screen. I can hear the music just fine, but all control is unavailable.

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • You are running out of date drivers for your GPU. You need to install the most recent driver for your graphics card from NVIDIA’s website. https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
  • Enabling Accurate Multiplication is recomended in certain games. If you are experiencing graphical glitches, try enabling this option.

I believe I’ve fixed my graphics card issues? Honestly Im not entirely sure, but I’ve done a few different upgrades. I’ve also enabled Accurate Multiplication.
Unfortunately, it is still not working.

No game was booted in your log. If you are experiencing a crash then do not open citra again until after you posted the log as it gets purged when you reopen citra.

Any particular reason you’re using an old Citra build?

I initially thought the game wasn’t compatible with the newer Citra builds, so I downloaded an older version but that didn’t fix the problem. I also played this game with the same Citra build on a Macbook and didn’t have any issues.

Please use the latest Citra build. If you encounter the same issue, upload a log file using that build.

Does it work without the fan translation patch? Since it’s referencing fti and the files for that folder are missing.

The cia I downloaded claimed the game was translated to English but it’s still in Japanese, I haven’t applied the translation patch yet.
