Bravely Second: End Layer -- Any Way to Improve Audio?

Not sure if this should be considered a Citra issue per se, since the original game has this same problem, but a lot of the dialogue audio is compressed to an awful degree. This particularly affects the voice lines of female characters, and is especially noticeable with any -s- or higher pitched sounds. As it’s in the base game, I’m wondering if it’s possible to use something like AI upscaling on the sound files from the original game, to “remaster” them. However, Citra only seems to have options for loading custom textures, and not yet sound files. Is this something that sounds feasible, or could maybe be an upcoming feature? I could be talking out my butt here but this feels like something within the realm of possibility.
