Cannot Create Terraria World because of FPS drop

Issue:
When I gave my character a name, the game’s FPS drops to zero, but the character is saved when I restart the game. When I gave my new world a name, the game’s FPS drops to zero again, but restarting the game doesn’t save the new world, and completely closing and opening Citra also does not save the new world.

I had this problem while I was playing. However, after a few tries, I realized that the game would still run in the background, even while the emulator was frozen. The way that I got past this was by making the world, going afk while the world was being created, and then restarting the emulator.

If you want to know when it is done, I also found that you could figure this out by setting the emulation speed to uncapped. Even though it would run at 0 fps, it would still show a percentage running speed. Once the world is done being generated, this number will suddenly increase past 10,000%.
I hope this was helpful!
