Circle pad not analog?

I just started playing some Ocarina of Time with my Wireless 360 pad and quickly noticed that character movement wasnt analog and instead is restricted to 8 directions.

Don’t know if this is a known issue but I cant find anything about this in neither the FAQ nor with the forum search function. Which makes me suggest either I’m really stupid or something is wrong on my end.

Did you configure the Circle Pad with the Set Analog Stick button?

I did. I tried both methods to check if there would be a difference.

Edit: Nevermind. I was using PSMD’s connection orb to check if the analog stick worked after noticing it didnt in OOT. But it seems this doesn’t actually have any analog control and just handles the circle pad as a d-pad. So I was correct. It’s just me being stupid…
