Another two. I think it could be connected to cinematics. The crash happen 90% of the during cut scene. If i skip them and fast during character creation the game run for longer.

Thanks for the help.

Please try reinstalling the Citra app. If that doesn’t work, there is likely an issue with your ROM dump.
In which case, please refer to our game dumping guides:

Dumping Game Cartridges
Dumping Installed Titles

Make sure your GM9 is up to date and that you have enough free storage space available on your SD-Card to perform the dump.

I have the same issue on my POCO phone, with the same games. There might be some issue other than a bad dump as it’s been suggested.

Please send a log file yourself then.

I’ve created a thread before about this but here.
For some reason the citra_log.txt was empty so I uploaded the old one. I didn’t restart the app but when the game crashed it crashed the whole citra app so maybe that’s why, I don’t know.

Specs:

  • Operating System: android 11
  • CPU: Snapdragon 855+, POCO X3 Pro
  • Citra Version (found in title bar): bed6a4f12
  • Game: I tested fire emblem fates and awakening

I made another dump but with same results. After testing, the game works fine even in cutscenes. The crash however still persists during pre rendered cut scenes. In short game fine video bad.
Should I try dumping it again or could the problem be with something else? It happens with every game.

Thank you for your time.

I found the cause of the problem. It was asynchronous gpu emulation. Turning it off fixed the crashes.

  • Due to AMD’s poorly optimized OpenGL driver, you may experience slowdowns.
