Issue:
When I start emulating a game with Citra (both versions) it always crashes without a warning message (I tried many games and all have the same issue).
I can’t understamd what the problem is and I’d like to fix it with your help.
System Information
Operating System: Windows 7
CPU: Intel Core i5
GPU: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 and Intel HD Graphics (log file is when using ATI but with Intel it crashes anyway)
Citra Version (found in title bar): Canary 1361
Game: Ace Attorney (I tried with other ‘‘perfect stability’’ games too and it’s the same)
Screenshot of Issue (include the full Citra window including titlebar): it just crashes so I don’t have
I already did it, I tried with AMD’s website drivers, pc company’s drivers and windows update drivers but it doesn’t work anyway. That’s why I wanted to ask you if there’s another thing I can try.
Disable ‘Enable Hardware Shader’ before launching your game. btw there are two drivers, one Crimson (latest beta) and one WHQL, direct links Crimson - WHQL. try installing one of those two.
Thank you a lot!
I Tried both driver versions but nothing. Disabling the Hardware Shader does the same crash.
Then I tried disabling Hardware Renderer and it didn’t crash, but emulation is very poor and unplayable, because it gives me:
-1% speed - 0 FPS - 3732ms frame - on one game
-5% speed - 3FPS - 359ms frame - on another one
Is there anything else I can try to make it work properly?
Enable ‘Enable Hardware Shader’, launch your game, when it crashes close citra, open your log folder C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Citra\log and upload your log.
Were you able to install one of those newer drivers successfully? your log still shows the same GPU driver version. you need those newer drivers for citra to work properly. ask for help on a tech support forum if you have trouble installing your GPU driver.
With the help of AMD’s support center I was able to update properly my drivers. The problem was that both ATI and Intel drivers didn’t let new ATI drivers to install properly, so I made a complete drivers uninstall and reinstalled them.
I’m writing it for the sake of who’ll have my same problem.
But now there’s another error. Citra’s log is empty so I don’t have any log to upload.
When trying to emulate a game there’s no crash, but a pop-up window that says “LoadLibrary failed with error 126”.
Good news!!
I just uninstalled, rebooted the system and installed again Citra, now that error won’t pop-un anymore and Citra emulate properly all my games.
I hope this post can be helping for all who have this problem.
I really thank you for your help!
