Citra Crashes loading any ROM- started happening suddenly

Issue:
Citra application opens normally, but when I open any ROM the program stops responding and I’m forced to close. This happened in the middle of playing Pokemon X.

System Information

  • Operating System: Windows 11
  • CPU: Intel(R) Core™ i7-9700 CPU @ 3.00GHz
  • GPU: NVidia 2070 Super
  • Citra Version (found in title bar): Citra Nightly 1899
  • Game: All (originally Pokemon X)

Also to note, since posting I have already updated my GPU drivers and the same problem is occurring

Remove any mods you have for your games, restart Citra then try your games again.
