Citra crashes on resizing, on any version

Issue:
I played my games with citra for a long time, never had this problem
i already played on the same pc, only with different os (linux xfce4)
now, in windows 10 on this pc, almost everytime i resize, the entire citra freezes and gives me this “not responding” thing
when it doesnt totally freezes, it just becomes really slow for some seconds then returns to normal
i tried awaiting but had no success, i could wait for hours and it would still be in the same frozen state
i tried with 2995, had the crash then thought it was cause i was using a recent, untested version, then tried 1795, had the same exact problem
i never had this problem with this pc, but now that i installed windows 10 (i was using citra on linux) now i am having this

the main citra window is fine for any resizing i need

  • You are running out of date drivers for your GPU. You need to install the most recent driver for your graphics card from Intel’s website. Support for Intel® Graphics

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • You are running out of date drivers for your GPU. You need to install the most recent driver for your graphics card from Intel’s website. Support for Intel® Graphics

This driver is out of date. To update, download win64_25.20.100.6373.zip from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28289/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10
Mirror download: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/28289/a08/win64_25.20.100.6373.zip

Then follow this guide to install it: https://www.howtogeek.com/343287/how-to-fix-the-driver-being-installed-is-not-validated-for-this-computer-on-intel-computers/

Now you should be able to install the latest DCH drivers directly:
Download and install gfx_win_101.3430_101.2111.exe from Intel® Graphics – Windows* DCH Drivers
Mirror download: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/746999/gfx_win_101.3430_101.2111.exe

Additionally, I can see that you have a very low amount of system RAM available. This can make any multitasking result in crashing when an app asks for more RAM than can be allocated. You can somewhat prevent the crashing by creating a larger page file. There should be plenty of guides on youtube on how to do so (just type “how to set a larger page file for Windows”)

ty very much, the first link u gave me worked
i also noticed that what made it crash was the “shaders by hardware” but when i disabled it, it was unplayably slow
now, that i updated the drivers, it works just as it used to, thank you!
i thought it was updated, as the windows spend so much time updating something
clearly windows didnt update something useful

Please also make sure to install the second driver I posted. This wasn’t a “one or the other” type instruction. The gfx_win_101.3430_101.2111.exe driver is the latest driver available. The first driver I linked is a legacy driver, which we tell people to install first to get around restrictions that your system manufacturer might’ve put unto your Windows installation (they used to do this a lot) to prevent you from updating your drivers yourself. It’s basically free performance, so you should do so.
