Citra crashes upon trying to launch any game

Issue:
I updated citra nightly to version 1778 and now any game i try to launch just shows me the loading shaders screen then the emulator just closes.

  • Operating System: Windows 10
  • CPU: Ryzen 5 2600x
  • GPU: XFX RX570 8GB
  • Citra Version: Citra Nightly 1778
  • Game: all of them but found out when smt 4 wouldnt launch

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • Due to AMD’s poorly optimized OpenGL driver, you may experience slowdowns.

I had the same issue with my amd gpu and I had to uninstall my drivers and install version 22.5.1, hope it works for you.

The new AMD driver requires a workaround that is only present in the latest Citra Canary versions for now. Please use that with the new driver. The performance improvements are pretty crazy.
