Citra crashes when Hardware Renderer turned on

Issue:
After having turned on Hardware Renderer and booting the game, an error message appears: “citra has stopped working”.

System Information

  • Operating System: Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit Service Pack 1

  • GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6470M
  • Citra Version (found in title bar): Citra Nightly 1696
  • Game: Mario & Luigi Dream Team Bros Dercrypted for Citra

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • Due to AMD’s poorly optimized OpenGL driver, you may experience slowdowns.

Are there solutions that don’t involve changing the GPU?

You don’t need to open a new thread with every new issue. You still have a thread here: Citra Nightly slow performance - #2 by CitraBot, please use that one.

Someone else might be able to tell you why the game crashes with Hardware Renderer on, I only suggested you try that because that option is on by default. But I think your only real option is to try and dualboot Linux.
