Citra Crashing when fighting on Fire Emblem Awakening

Issue:
Enter a description of your issue here, in full detail.
Up until two updates ago, I could play without a worry in the world,so I don’t know if it is coincidence but my game started to crash on the moment that any characters fight, E.g.
My Chrom and A bandit fight, at the moment it enters the cutscene it freezes on the black screen and just crashes.
So can Anyone give me some pointers or a solution please?

yes same here made it to chapter 13 then Citra started crashing during fights.

Your log file is incomplete. Please follow these steps to generate a new log file:

  1. Open Citra and press File → Open Citra Folder
  2. Run the game until the issue occurs
  3. Find the log file and upload it (Do NOT reset Citra, as it will wipe the file)

here it is

Disable all cheats, then restart the emulation (important, otherwise they remain active). Now try your game again. If the issue persists, upload a new log file.

I assure you its not the mod or cheat that causing the crash since i’m also playing in recent canary 2466 that cheats menu seems momenteraly removed nor i have installing any mod yet. I have the same issue in nightly 1893. Its caused by certain enemy attack animation that causing the crash especially everytime battling against enemy archer.

For better insight, there is a thread that discussing the matter, here: Fire Emblem Awakening (EUR) Crash on Specific Unit Attack Phase Animation · Issue #3635 · citra-emu/citra · GitHub
But honestly i don’t understand the whole things going on there but all i know the problem been exist from long time and i dunno if there is a solution beside avoiding the battle animation by turning it off.

I could recreate the crash and providing the log but not untill at least next tuesday. Waiting for my new internet provider installment.

Disabling Combat Animations did the job for me, thanks

Disable Combat Animations and it will not crash

For the cheats menu, on Canary there’s a new PR that moves the cheats menu to the per-game settings.
So you can find it either by right clicking on your game in Citra’s game list and selecting Properties, or during the emulation by going to Emulation>Configure current game.
