Citra does not respond after opening a rom

Hi! I cannot open roms on Citra. As soon as I do, Citra crashes (i.e; does not respond). It does so after I open the rom (sometimes even showing the first few frames of the game). I have tried with multiple roms and also tried reinstalling Citra but the error persists. I hope that you could help me find a solution for this.
