How are you loading the ROM? You can drag and drop ROMs to citra.exe or run them through commands. Most users would run citra-qt.exe and use File -> Load File or File -> Select Game Directory.
Does that work for mac? cause im using a mac book pro with sierra?
Preferably you’d use citra-qt. It should work on every supported OS (Windows, Mac and Linux).

Not a Mac user so I’m not familiar with it. Make sure your’e running citra-qt and not citra. I can tell by [ 0.000000] Config citra/config.cpp:LoadINI:38: Successfully loaded /Users/andrewveenendaal/.config/citra-emu/sdl2-config.ini, your’e loading citra.

i reinstalled citra and opend it, but it keeps loading nothing happens, how can fix this.

Aha OK I figured it out myself. Basically how you do it is by going to Finder, and go to ~/.config (this can be done by pressing command shift g and pasting ~/.config) and edit the qt config file to not do a deep scan of the games directory. If you can’t edit it, change the extension to .txt and then edit it. Make sure to edit it back to .ini afterwards. Find the deep scan setting and change it to false. It should now work.
Good to know since I have a macOS too but I don’t have a problem. Glad you could resolve it.

i also cant find the qt config file, the citra-emu folder only has this sdl2-config.ini
