Citra doesn't save shaders on MacOS

Hi, I’ve been playing Citra for a while now on the Intel Macbook Pro 2019 (non M1 or M2 Mac).

My Citra is Nightly 1782. I play it with hardware shaders turned off because the stutters are unbearable when it is enabled. Citra doesn’t seem to be creating shader caches on my computer as I play through games, it loads everything as if its the first time in every playthrough.

There’s absolutely nothing in the shaders folder in the ‘citra-emu’ folder. Any way that I can fix this? I can only play Majora’s Mask and Ocarina of Time atm but I want to try the Pokemon games but they are super laggy with hardware shaders disabled.

Thanks ahead.
