Citra.exe stops responding when starting a game

Issue:
I had to uninstall and re-install the emulator, and for some reasons this happens whenever I try to play any of the games. Before uninstalling it, it worked perfectly with no issues.

  • You have GDB debugging enabled. This will cause Citra not to launch games. This is only intended for debugging purposes and should be disabled in settings.

Finally fixed, thanks!

Hello everyone! I’m trying to replay Zelda OoT with Citra on linux (elementary OS, 64bit on a Dell notebook, Geforce 720M VGA). At first I’ve tried to play the game with normal textures and it did well, recognizing my average usb-joystick through .ini file editing (which it says on terminal it is “ID 0079:0006 DragonRise Inc. PC TWIN SHOCK Gamepad ID 0079:0006 DragonRise Inc. PC TWIN SHOCK Gamepad”).

But now since I’ve encountered this Henriko Magnifico work on hires textures then I decided to not play again untill it’s up and running. Unfortunatelly, after putting hires textures on specified folder, Citra is crashing, sometimes along with the OS itself (requiring hard reset) and it’s also not recognizing the same joystick since then (even after altering .ini files as advised on Citra forum). This issue keeps going even when trying to play normal textures.

I’ve already tried to uninstall everything, uploading all files again and again, etc. It’s the same result on Nightly and Canary (MTS version or not)

I already tried to install most recent NVidia driver, but aparently is a .run file that did not minimize the problem at all. Not that I’m secure about how I should use it to “install driver”

You could get automatic updates for your GPU with GeForce Experience if manual install fails: https://www.geforce.com/drivers

This .run file I was talking about was downloaded from there. Good tip anyway, thanks!
