Citra immediately Not Responding upon opening

Issue:
I downloaded the latest nightly installable version of Citra. Every time I click on the shortcut to open it, it crashes immediately and I have to force close it. I’ve tried uninstalling, reinstalling, updating, deleting certain files, modifying certain files, creating a new user folder inside the nightly folder, and nothing seems to get it past the point where it will not crash immediately upon opening the app.

System Information

  • Operating System: Windows 11
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3550H with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060
  • Citra Version (found in title bar): 1994
  • Game: N/A

Diagnostic Log
A log cannot be provided because Citra will not open.

In order for us to provide better support, we need to see the log generated by citra. This guide will walk you through how you can obtain the log file: How to Upload the Log File

InstallationLog.txt (7.3 KB)

If it’s any help at all, here’s the installation log file.

citra_log.txt (12.7 KB)
citra_log.txt.old.txt (12.7 KB)

No game was booted in your log. If you are experiencing a crash then do not open citra again until after you posted the log as it gets purged when you reopen citra.
For more information, see How to Upload the Log File

i have the same exact issue, it sucks but what i did was just rolling back versions till i can get it to boot and play normally
i’m currently on nightly 1988

here’s my log:
citra_log.txt (877 Bytes)

and just for reference this is my log on nightly 1988:
citra_log.txt (1.3 KB)

No game was booted in your log. If you are experiencing a crash then do not open citra again until after you posted the log as it gets purged when you reopen citra.
For more information, see How to Upload the Log File

UPDATE: Okay, so I updated my AMD drivers (Not just NVIDIA), and now citra works perfectly fine. So to anybody else having this problem, it might be not only your graphics card drivers, but also your processor drivers. So try googling whatever processor brand you might have (in my case AMD), download the drivers or a program to install the drivers, then run them, then Citra should work perfectly fine.
