Citra Install Error: zlib1.dll Access is denied

Issue:
I updated Citra to the newest version today and it crashed to where I couldn’t run it properly again. I uninstalled and reinstalled it a few times in a few different file locations but I still get this error message. (Seen below)
The error message shows that Citra doesn’t have access to it’s own file: “zlib1.dll”

System Information

  • Operating System: Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel i5-7500
  • GPU: Intel HD Graphics 630
  • Citra Version: Nightly
  • Game: Citra application

had the same issue. I disabled my anti-virus and it installed.

This typically happens when overzealous anti-virus software incorrectly flag that file. Add an exception for Citra, then install again.
