Citra keeps freezing while playing MHXX, but the game is still running

Issue:
Note that I only had MHXX in Citra. At first the bug only happened not very often, and I can just easily save state. But later on the bug happened more often, to the point where it bugged out when I just opened the game. The game screen is freezing but I can still hear the game audio. The screenshot below is what happened after I exited fullscreen. I’ve tried a lot of solution from the internet, but nothing work.

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • You are running out of date drivers for your GPU. You need to install the most recent driver for your graphics card from Intel’s website. Support for Intel® Graphics

Here’s with updated gpu, the bug still persists.

I did not find anything wrong in your log file. Please wait for a human moderator to assist.

This sounds a lot like an issue related to repeated save state usage, though I’m not entirely sure about that. Were you using save states prior to the issue occurring at first? Or did you only start using them after you started encountering the issue?

I thought about that, but that’s not the problem. I’ve tried without save state and just a normal launch but still bugged out after a few mins. One thing that i want to ask, i read online that each laptop has it’s own recommended gpu driver from the manufacturer. And i’ve been updating my gpu driver constantly from Intel website. Can that be a problem?

No, it shouldn’t be the issue. In fact, it’s best in Citra’s case to keep it up to date manually. Can you upload another log file?
