Citra loading ROM, then crashing

Issue:
I try to launch Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, but whenever it loads, the game then puts the game’s FPS to 0, alongside speed being 0% / 100%

have same problem after update 1885

Just checked your log file, it might be the hardware shaders causing troubles for you. To reset them, find the title id, right click and find shaders and delete them

Go to File>Open Citra Folder, then delete the shaders folder found here. Now try your game again.

Your log indicates that you’ve run into a bug that was introduced in the latest update. The developer is aware of the issue and we’ll try to get a fix out as soon as possible.

Please stop trying to give support when you have no idea what you’re talking about. Nothing in the log file remotely indicates “Hardware Shaders” or even “shaders” at all causing any issues. You’re not helping.

This didn’t work, I’ll try reverting my citra version to attempt that.

Ok, it seems to be any game I have is having this problem, it doesn’t launch.

I tried with Mario + Luigi Bowser Inside Story

The log file is incomplete. Make sure you follow the steps carefully:

  1. Open Citra, then go to File>Open Citra Folder (Citra>Open Citra Folder if on MacOS) and open up the log folder. Now keep that open in the background.
  2. Launch your game and encounter the problem; crash/slowdown/glitch and close Citra if it doesn’t do so by itself. Do not restart Citra as that will wipe the log of important information!
  3. Now upload the log file in this chat.
