Citra missing menu bar in Garuda Linux

Issue:
Recently I changed my operative system from Windows 11 to Linux Garuda Dragonized Edition, I tried to install citra the conventional way through Garuda Gamer tools, Octopi to remove and install software and then manually following the official install from the citra website, neither way the main menu showed, due to this I cannot change my control settings. I tried deleting the config folder also and nothing

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • You are running out of date drivers for your GPU. You need to install the most recent driver for your graphics card from Intel’s website. Support for Intel® Graphics

I changed the game configuration to use Vulkan and the NVIDIA GPU, the game runs fine but is the missing menu the issue

I did not find anything wrong in your log file. Please wait for a human moderator to assist.

It was an OS issue
The issue turned out to be a regression in Plasma. I found this issue was also affecting a select few other applications.

The fix for me was disabling the KDE application menus daemon.

System Settings → Startup and Shutdown → Background Services, and uncheck “Application menus daemon”, Apply and restart the plasma session.

This gave me a hard time so I’m gonna leave the solution link here:
