Citra Nightly 1.0.0 won't launch at all

Issue: I click on Citra Nightly and it looks like it will start, then nothing happens. Task Manager shows that it is suspended. When I try to uninstall it, the maintenance tool appears on Task Manager and it says it is suspended too. So haven’t been able to open it or uninstall it.

I think it might be something to do with a virus software, either Microsoft’s one or Avast, but I haven’t been able to figure it out, tried disabling both of them but no joy.

Halp!

Thanks, Seany

Add an exception for citra-qt.exe on your antivirus (including defender).

Did that, and restarted my pc. Seemed to do the trick, but now it crashes every maybe 10, 15 minutes. Game is Omega Ruby.

Edit: Now even on the home screen when I click file or emulation it freezes. Any tips?!

Delete the current log, play the game to freeze, wait a few minutes, close Citra, then upload the log here.

Ok the harddrive that Citra was on has disappeared completely. Don’t understand why that happened. It’s got lots of very important stuff on it - any ideas? Can’t upload the log because can’t open Citra cuz of the harddrive issue.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by “the hard drive is gone”?

Ok I opened up the PC and unplugged the harddrive and plugged it in again and it seems to have been the problem. The harddrive that disappeared is back and citra is running smoothly. Thanks!
