Citra Nightly - Lego Batman 2 runs smoothly, but audio is delayed

Issue:
The game I chose to play (Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes) is running smoothly, but the audio in it is getting a tiny stutter or a delay from the game, and I know that the game can have game/audio issues, but the audio delay it is kind of ruining the experience for me.

Is there any audio settings that I can tweak that can maybe fix this for me?

Install new GPU Drive, HLE is the best option for sound.

I should have the latest GPU Driver version, 15.4835 is indeed the latest one.

It’s not, 5166 is :stuck_out_tongue:

GPU Driver Version: 20.19.15.4835

This driver is outdated, you need to update.

Download win64_15.40.47.5166.zip from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29971/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-40-?product=91830
direct link: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/29971/a08/win64_15.40.47.5166.zip

then follow this guide to install it: https://www.howtogeek.com/343287/how-to-fix-the-driver-being-installed-is-not-validated-for-this-computer-on-intel-computers/

You can try turn off Audio stretching.

Just tried updating the driver, audio is still delayed.

Also, I already tried to turn off audio stretching with no success.

Please upload another log file.

This game might have issues atm. The audio should be in sync if you use LLE audio but then the game would most likely run too slow. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I am also trying to run Animal Crossing: New Leaf, but it is kinda doing the same thing, but the audio is stuttering way to much, even though the compatibility on Citra site says it’s “Great”.

Is it because the file I have is a CCI file? it’s only a decrypted cia file. it should work.

Here is the logs for AC:NL if you want to try and help with that:

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

Does your emulation speed drop below 100% sometimes? That would most likely be why. Your computer isn’t exactly fast by 2020 standards :stuck_out_tongue: It is miles behind like Ryzen 5 5600X.

Though even with a fast computer, you cannot really eliminate all “stutters”, having buttery smooth experience is difficult.

Try with older version 1629 or below, see if it works.

The speed is going below 100% all the time, but the current settings I have are making it a bit better, but audio is still a tiny bit delayed when the emulation is started, and waiting a bit makes it better.

I am confused on what to enable and what to disable tho.
What I have enabled so far: Linear Filtering, Hardware Rendering + Shaders with the settings that come with it (excluding vsync and disk shader cache) and Audio Stretching.

There is still stuttering at times too

I would guess it is your computer that is not being fast enough. You can download like Cinebench R20 and run the single thread test.

Go to File then check Advanced Benchmark. Then click on “Run” next to CPU (Single Core). This will take awhile.

If you want something to compare to, my i7-3770K at 4.3GHz scores ~315, Ryzen 5 5600X is over 600.

Cinebench results said 159 pts.

cinebench

Nope, still the same in 1629.

I said with older to, see this one if it works.
https://github.com/citra-emu/citra-nightly/releases/tag/nightly-1392

Same results, tho Citra now shows that ACNL as “Perfect” and Lego Batman 2 as “Bad” when it comes to compatibility.
