Citra now crashes when loading ROM

Issue:
I used to play this ROM before, but for some reason now it crashes whenever I open it.

If it’s any help, I actually recently downloaded Pokemon Omega Ruby. My Pokemon X was working okay before I played Pokemon Omega Ruby. After playing POR, I was able to play Pokemon X once but it had no sound so I closed Citra to try again. Ever since then my Pokemon X won’t start at all.

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • You are running out of date drivers for your GPU. You need to install the most recent driver for your graphics card from NVIDIA’s website. https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
  • Enabling Accurate Multiplication is recomended in certain games. If you are experiencing graphical glitches, try enabling this option.

I tried doing both of the suggestions, but my Citra still crashes after I load Pokemon X. It’s just a black screen then it shows that it’s not responding before it crashes.

I’m gonna give you the benefit of the doubt that you meant from the Nintendo eShop and that also implies you bought it first then downloaded it from there :stuck_out_tongue:

Follow this guide to dump your copy correctly: https://citra-emu.org/wiki/dumping-installed-titles/

It looks like you accidentally reopened Citra before uploading the log. The log gets cleared every time you open Citra. Have the log folder open in the background first, then start the game and when Citra closes, immediately upload a new log here.

I dunno what to do , just installed citra canary 1758 and downloaded pokemon x , its decrypted and like when I run the game it only shows black screen

and like everytime I run the game I get notifications like display driver stopped responding or something

I’m gonna give you the benefit of the doubt that you meant that you downloaded from the Nintendo eShop app on your Nintendo 3DS and that you used godmode9 to decrypt it.

GPU Driver Version: Build 10.18.10.3316

This driver is outdated, you need to update.

Download win64_15.33.50.5129.zip from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29473/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-33-?product=65700
direct link: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/29473/a08/win64_15.33.50.5129.zip

then follow this guide to install it: https://www.howtogeek.com/343287/how-to-fix-the-driver-being-installed-is-not-validated-for-this-computer-on-intel-computers/

Ok I’ll try that , thank you
