citra_log.txt (4.0 KB)

In order to save a copy of the log, follow this guide:
https://community.citra-emu.org/t/how-to-upload-the-log-file/296

The log file is incomplete. Make sure you follow the steps carefully:

  1. Open Citra, then go to File>Open Citra Folder (Citra>Open Citra Folder if on MacOS) and open up the log folder. Now keep that open in the background.
  2. Launch your game and encounter the problem; crash/slowdown/glitch and close citra if it doesn’t do so by itself. Do not restart citra as that will wipe the log of important information!
  3. Now upload the log file in this chat.

Your log file doesn’t say anything alarming that I can tell. Can you explain (or upload a screenshot) what you meant with “this message”?

It’s a pop up that says citra-qt.exe has stopped working and then it says that the program will close nothing more unfortunately.
I have tried reinstalling citra, but it didnt work, do you have any other tips or something i could try?

Please check whether the same issue occurs on a portable Citra build (to rule out any issues with your regular Citra folders):
Go to Download Citra - Citra and select Manual download. Then under Nightly Build, click on your operating system’s icon to the right of the latest build available to download the build.
Extract it (.7z can be extracted using Winrar or 7zip) (.tar.gz can be extracted natively on MacOS) and put it where ever you wish. Inside the extracted mingw folder, create a folder called user. This Citra should now store all of its config, save files and such inside of this user folder.
Check to make sure that this user folder is in the same folder that contains citra-qt(.exe)
Now run the citra-qt executable found inside of the mingw folder and run your game.

If it still crashes, upload another log file using the portable Citra version.

Didn’t work unfortunately. The timing of the crashes seems random to me, one time I played for about half an hour before it happened, once in less than a minute and now within a couple minutes

Have you tried running Citra as an Administrator? Right click the Citra-qt file/shortcut and there should be an option to run it as an admin

Just run as administrator or also change some settings at the same time?
I haven’t tried that btw

It worked for a while when running as administrator but eventually it happened again

Open Event Viewer, expand the Windows Logs tab on the left and select Application. Now run Citra until you encounter the crash and see if the Event Viewer logs it. If it does, please create a screenshot/show us what it says.
