Citra seems to crash after playing for a while

When I first try a new rom, the game runs great. This can work fine for a while, where I save my game, exit Citra, start Citra again, restart the game, reload my save, rinse repeat. After a few cycles of this however, Citra just crashes. I have played with the graphic settings and nothing seems to help. Any idea from you guys? It doesn’t seem to matter which game I am playing, granted I have only really tried it on Fire Emblem Fates and Echoes.

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • You are running out of date drivers for your GPU. You need to install the most recent driver for your graphics card from Intel’s website. Downloads for Graphics
  • The CPU Clock percentage is not 100%. You may experience unexpected game speed.
  • You have cheats enabled. This might cause weird behaviour or crashes. Please disable them and retest if your game is experiencing bugs or crashes.

Ignore the bot regarding the drivers. It is a bit dumb when it comes to old iGPUs.

Most likely the reason for the random crashes is due to the buggy Intel HD 4000 which doesn’t like the Split Presentation Thread change. You will need to use this older build until you buy a new computer:

Oh wow, that never would have occurred to me.

The bot mentioned how I had the CPU overclocked ( I forgot that I had it set higher when initially playing with the settings ), so I dropped it a bit and so far I seem to be going well. I will keep your tip in mind if it crashes again. I really appreciate your help!
