Citra stopped working since i updated it

Issue:
I updated Citra to its latest version and now it doesn’t open, when trying to open it, a blank window appears with the name of the version for a few seconds and then it closes, I already tried going back to a previous version and the problem persists.

The log file is incomplete. Make sure you follow the steps carefully:

  1. Open Citra, then go to File>Open Citra Folder (Citra>Open Citra Folder if on MacOS) and open up the log folder. Now keep that open in the background.
  2. Launch your game and encounter the problem; crash/slowdown/glitch and close Citra if it doesn’t do so by itself. Do not restart Citra as that will wipe the log of important information!
  3. Now upload the log file in this chat.

The problem is that citra doesn’t open, I can never get to see the interface, it loads up there and then closes.

Make sure that you’re launching citra-qt(.exe), not citra(.exe). The latter is only for command line usage.

Please try uninstalling, and then reinstalling Citra.

try to uninstall and reinstall, trying to open citra-qt loaded the interface and then it closed before i could do anything, this is the new log:

hmmm, do you have a multiple monitor set up? If so, try launching Citra only on the primary monitor.

no, i only have 1 monitor

I am looking for the latest version that allows me to open the emulator to see if I can play like this, I will inform you later how it went with that

I already found a version that works perfectly for me: “1789”, thanks for your help, it’s a shame that when I update it it stops working, but as long as my games don’t give problems, I’m happy

So, did you test to see where it broke for you? Does Nightly 1790 not work for you?

I don’t know why it broke, I only know that, prior to 1789 it crashes when opening a game (right in the section loading shaders), and the versions after 1789 don’t directly run
