Citra using a LOT of ram

Issue:
Citra appears to be using a very large amount of ram after playing Rune Factory 4 for a couple of hours. I don’t know if its a memory leak or what exactly. By the time i was done, citra was using roughly 5.9GB of memory.

System Information

  • Windows 10 professional 64 bit 12GB ram
  • i7-3770
  • Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 Ti
  • Citra nightly 1508
  • Game: Rune Factory 4
  • Screenshot of Issue (include the full Citra window including titlebar):

That’s currently a bug with the Disk Shader Cache where it creates too many shaders if Acurate Multiplication is disabled.
To avoid this you can either got to Emulation > Configuration... > Graphics and turn on Acurate Multiplication under Advanced, or turn of Disk Shader Cache under Enhancements.
In both cases delete the shaders folder in %appdata%\Citra.

I already had accurate multiplication enabled, so that isn’t the issue. I also had made sure to delete the shader cache before playing the game.

Spent an hour today and it was up to 4.6gb ram usage. I had deleted the shaders and turned disk shader cache off before i played the game. Honestly that much ram usage for a single hour of playing seems excessive.
