Citra's running slower and slower

Issue:
Even though my laptop has now been two weeks old, Citra runs atrociously. It’s really slow and laggy and I just want it to play faster. This is very unprofessional of all of you, especially when the Citra runs games so slow that it’s borderline unplayable.

The speed is 11/995% btw

Your laptop is not meant for gaming, at all. It is built for light office work and browsing the web. It is a really weak and underpowered device, and I’m surprised you’re getting 4FPS in the first place. And just because you got your laptop two weeks ago, I’m assuming, does not mean it is that old. Your laptop is three and a half years old.

When playing, make sure your laptop is plugged into the charger. Other than that, we cannot do anything when your hardware is the one at fault.

Calling us unprofessional does not make us want to help you any more either, get a new device if you want to play Citra. That one is too weak.

Thanks for the answer. I was previously under the impression that the Citra team didn’t care so that’s why I called them unprofessional (and I apologize for that). The answer you made makes sense now. Not that it matters. I’ve kinda lost interest in Citra altogether even before this horrendous slowdown issue. Sorry and goodbye.

Your log lack details (did you restart Citra after you closed the game by mistake?). The log should be more than 1KB.

You might have like LLE Audio enabled which is extremely slow among other things.

If you are curious how the game runs on a 4 year old gaming PC it’s like this:

>600%; even faster on newer hardware like Ryzen 5 7600 or i5-13600K. So you have something to look forward to when you upgrade eventually.

Here is what the log should look like:
