Close After Load Shaders

Issue:
Emulator closes after finished loading shaderscitra_log.txt (11.2 KB)

I refered previous similar posts but in vain, possible problems are me deleting some files in C: drivers thinking it might not be important, but I can’t remember what files are them. However, this is before I redownload citra emulator, I guess it may be rom problem, but just in case.

Go to File>Open citra Folder. Then open the shaders folder and delete the opengl folder.

Are you sure? I did try moving “transferable” and “precompiled” files away previously upon one post’s suggestion, but it makes the game won’t even load at all, crashes instantly before it started.

However I tried your method, same result: crash before start loading

That was the most likely cause for either infinite loading screen or CTD without an error message. So I throught it might be a good thing to check that first. Anyways, since you said you might’ve deleted some important files, let’s just make a portable citra version to rule that out.

Download citra-windows-mingw-20200930-aced133.7z (direct link) from https://github.com/citra-emu/citra-nightly/releases/tag/nightly-1627
Extract it using Winrar or 7zip. Put the extracted folder anywhere you want. Inside the extracted nightly-mingw folder, create a folder called user. Now run citra-qt.exe from the folder and run your game.

ooo a portable version, this might be useful since my computer’s running out of space so I’m saving my emulators in a pendrive, I’ll try it thanks :+1:

update on my status:

  • so I can open FE:Awakening to black screen point and nothing happens after, fps is varying though so I assume it’s running but something went wrong
  • for FE:Fates, it crashes after showing the attached screenshot, sometimes the title below “now loading” may scrambled up and show different languages(possibly mandarin or japanese)

is this still emulator problem or rom problem now? Thanks in advance~

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • Enabling Accurate Multiplication is recomended in certain games. If you are experiencing graphical glitches, try enabling this option.

now it said “fatal error encountered” after enabling multiplication :disappointed_relieved:

Ah, please try redumping your game using our guides:

I don’t have a console, so guess my luck ends here.

I appreciate your support and guidance thus far, thanks again.
