Connecting to the internet would require connection to official Nintendo Network services which Citra doesn’t support. On PC Citra has local multiplayer support, on Android there isn’t any kind of multiplayer support yet.

Citra doesn’t have the ability to connect to Nintendo’s servers. So online play is not supported. To be clear, Citra Android doesn’t have local multiplayer functionality yet either. Only Citra desktop has that for now.
