So I was trying to play pokemon x with a controller and I find that my c stick is moving like the d pad how can I configure it so I can walk smoothly

This isn’t a feature in Pokemon x and y to begin with if I recall correctly. The only way to move smoothly like you’re wanting to is by using the rollerscating mechanic that you get access to later in the game.
