Controller movements not correct

Issue:
When starting a new Randomized game of Pokemon Alpha Sapphire my controllers circle pad stopped working properly. When i try to move up it goes left and down is right, left is up and right is down. the settings for the controller are correct as they always have been but it doesn’t seem to take the new commanded input even after resetting the controls

Can you give us some more information? What type of controller are you using? Are you using a third party program to provide the drivers if applicable?

Figured it out thank you for replying. Just had to reset the controller and sync it back to the computer
