after moments with big effects like z moves, cutscenes, totem pokemon or whatever at random it will crash, but not everytime, it being nightly or canary
please help lol im not one to save often so its really annoying having to do a bunch of stuff again and again

Can you try using this version: https://github.com/citra-emu/citra-nightly/releases/tag/nightly-1392?
Just download the version for your OS and unzip it somewhere. Then launch the citra-qt.exe inside the extracted folder to launch citra.
