Display driver has stopped working and has recovered when I try to start playing Shin Megami Tensai IV

I just got into using Citra and I wanted to try and use SMT IV, but for some reason after the message of it saying that the save data was created, it got to the now loading part, but then the entire screen goes black and then goes back to normal after a few seconds and it said that the display driver has stopped working and has recovered, I’m not sure what to do since I used it on both.

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • You are running out of date drivers for your GPU. You need to install the most recent driver for your graphics card from Intel’s website. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/80939/Graphics-Drivers
  • Enabling Accurate Multiplication is recomended in certain games. If you are experiencing graphical glitches, try enabling this option.

I can’t even download any of the recent drivers since it keeps on saying that it doesn’t meet the minimum requirements.

GPU Driver Version: 10.18.10.3345

This driver is outdated, you need to update.

Since you have an old GPU which can randomly crash due to a driver bug you might need to use Nightly 1392 until you upgrade your computer: https://github.com/citra-emu/citra-nightly/releases/tag/nightly-1392

It is possible to update to Intel drivers by following the howtogeek guide. The reason it said that for you is because most OEMs (Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer etc.) prevent you but this can be bypassed.
