DQM2 issues on older and newer versions

Issue:
Using newer Citra versions causes slowdown on transition screens, but using older versions mentioned in other threads causes it to crash anytime I open any game. I’ve tried canary and nightly and multiple older versions like nightly 1529 and 1543.

System Information

  • Operating System: Windows 10 Home
  • CPU: Intel(R) Core™ i5-10400F CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz
  • GPU: Radeon RX 580
  • Citra Version (found in title bar): nightly 1543
  • Game: Dragon Quest Monsters 2 - Cobi and Tara’s Marvelous Mysterious Key

Older versions of Citra don’t work on newer AMD drivers because AMD made a mistake with one of the extensions I believe.

I’m not sure if turning off Hardware Shader will let you bypass that or not.

Still didn’t work. So am I just out of luck until some fix comes?

Please upload a log file using the latest Citra Nightly build after encountering the slowdown.
Older Citra builds will not work, period. Your GPU’s driver can’t run them at all. So there’s no point in trying them.
