Dragon quest viii hunting grounds problem

I am on a quest (argonia hunting grounds) and in need to sneak up on a certain foe, but my character cannot walk since i am using a keyboard. i saw a previous post that said something about the circle pad mod in the control settings, but i tried changing the “modifier scale” and that didn’t do anything. please help.

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • Enabling Accurate Multiplication is recomended in certain games. If you are experiencing graphical glitches, try enabling this option.
  • You have cheats enabled. This might cause weird behaviour or crashes. Please disable them and retest if your game is experiencing bugs or crashes.

I think you may need to hold down whatever key is binded to “circle mod”. I think the default is “d”. Hold that down whilst you walk to see if that fixes the problem
