So basically in Yo-Kai Watch 3, there is support for the 3DS Near Field Communication with the use of the Dream Medals with built in NFC, being one of the few, if not only 3DS title to use NFC without amiibo functionality. Is there a possibility that these medals may somehow be functional, since I heard they do a amiibo bypass on the 3DS NFC.
