Fatal error in Tomodachi Life (Mac)

Issue:
Whenever I load Tomodachi Life, it comes up with this error message before I can actually get into the game. I used to be able to run it back in maybe 2019/2020 but at some point it just stopped working. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it seems that the files never fully delete as I still have my old game directories and everything.

I had a similar issue with ACNL as well, it used to run okay until my save file got corrupted and after that the game wouldn’t work correctly (the keyboard changed and it only let me use 6 characters instead of 8 in my town name).
