Bump? Still haven’t gotten it to work sadly.

Nah it should work without having to open Home Menu first. I encountered the same problem on a fresh installed Citra.
Looks like the camera app fails to create the following file \user\nand\data\00000000000000000000000000000000\extdata\00048000\F0000001\user\photo\Nintendo 3DS\Private\00020400\phtcache.bin. Create this file and the app should start. The file can be completely empty, it just has to be there.

Thanks for the help! This got me past the “Preparing…” screen but now after that a fatal error occurs once again, could you help decipher my problem from this updated log file? Greatly appreciated, thank you!

  • Enabling Accurate Multiplication is recomended in certain games. If you are experiencing graphical glitches, try enabling this option.
  • System configuration block 0xE0000 appears to be corrupted. Please attempt the steps outlined in our FAQ https://citra-emu.org/wiki/faq/

Try using a config savegame dumped from your 3DS.

That worked, thanks! I dumped everything from my 3DS using threeSD then created the phtcache.bin file and it worked great.
