Freezing in Pokemon Alpha Sapphire

Issue: Game Freezes in Alpha Sapphire Game

Upon entering the Petalburg City gym, once I talk to Norman (“dad”), the game freezes and Citra goes to 0FPS. I am able to exit the gym and continue towards the next route, but once I talk to Norman, I can’t do anything else. Please help

GPU Driver Version: Build 21.20.16.4550

This driver is outdated, you need to update.

Download win64_25.20.100.6373.zip from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28289/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10

After you have installed that you can if you want update further(recommended): https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29465/Intel-Graphics-Windows-10-DCH-Drivers?product=88959 (download the .exe this time).

Still does not work after I’ve updated my driver. Still freezes when I talk to Norman.

Ok, I suspect your rom is corrupted. Redump it using the guides below, make sure you have at least 4GB free space on your SD card:
